Common questions
Who needs GST registration?
It depends on turnover, the kind of supply and the state. The usual turnover limit is currently Rs 40 lakh for goods and Rs 20 lakh for services in Kerala, but some businesses must register whatever their turnover, such as those selling goods to other states or through e-commerce platforms. We check your case and tell you in writing.
How often are GST returns filed?
Regular taxpayers usually file GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B every month. Businesses under the quarterly scheme (QRMP) file quarterly and pay tax monthly. We confirm your schedule when we start.
What do you need from me each month?
Sales and purchase invoices, bank statements and any credit or debit notes. If we keep your books, we already have most of this.
Do you handle GST for businesses in other cities?
Yes. We serve businesses across Kerala, in Bangalore and in the Gulf, and the work is done online.
When are GST returns due?
For regular monthly filers, GSTR-1 is due on the 11th and GSTR-3B on the 20th of the following month. Quarterly (QRMP) filers have different dates, and due dates can be changed by government notification. We confirm the schedule for your registration.
What if I have missed a GST return?
File it as soon as possible. Late fees and interest apply for each delayed period, and continued non-filing can lead to your registration being suspended. We check your pending returns first and tell you the amount payable before we file.
What is input tax credit reconciliation?
It is matching the tax credit shown in your GSTR-2B with your purchase records, so you claim what you are entitled to and find supplier mismatches early.
